B Shift  Squad 23 was dispatched along with Paramedic 17(Arnold) and Ambulance 199(Cape St Claire) for a motor vehicle collision.  Upon arrival, it was reported to be a trash truck vs. boat.  That's right...a boat, in the middle of Ritchie Highway!  Lt. Cain established the command and called for the rescue box bringing Quint 23 and Battalion Chief 1(Tobia) due to the driver of the trash truck being pinned in his vehicle.  Units from 23 extricated the patient in just a few minutes.  Units operated for just under an hour.  The driver was transported to a local hospital.  Fortunately, no one was on the boat at the time of the collision.
