Both units from 23 ran the 19-01 Rescue Box for a car off the road on its side. Operations 8 (Lt Doherty, a 23 alum) arrived first to confirm entrapment and give the size up. A single vehicle was off the road in the brush.
Co 23 personnel worked to stabilize the vehicle using Res-Q-Jacks and ratchet straps. Simultaneously, tools were being set up and the patient was being covered. Once the vehicle was stable, the crew went to work cutting the posts and removing the roof of the vehicle. The lone patient was then removed by the crews from 23 and 19 to a backboard and packaged for transport to Shock Trauma. Medic 40 handled the transport.
