A full Technical Rope Rescue Assignment was dispatched including units from Station 23 for a motor vehicle accident - car over the embankment & onto the railroad tracks with people trapped in the vehicle @ Rt.100 & Rt.170 in Severn. Units arrived & confirmed 2 people trapped & started extrication efforts. As extrication was going on, other crews on-scene started to establish a Z-Rig in order to retrieve the patients up the embankment. E231 was placed available prior to arrival, but the Squad arrived on-scene & assisted.
One patient was extricated & transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore via MSP Trooper 1. The second patient was unfortunately deceased. SQ23 cleared the scene @ 10:13 hours
